PLEASE NOTE: The climbing tower has now been sold and Gredon Hall has an exciting, brand new, 50ft high climbing and abseil tower which will be ready for use in March 2008.

Grendon Hall is selling its Rock ‘n’ Road climbing trailer. It has been engineered and designed to meet all current European Standards. The climbing tower is suitable for all levels of climber and is set upon a custom made trailer, easily towable with a suitable vehicle.

The trailer is designed to provide additional stability for the tower when used outside. It allows the tower to be operated safely in winds up to force 7.

When used indoors, where there is no wind loading, the tower can be disconnected from the trailer. The trailer can then be removed and stored elsewhere. The tower is raised and lowered from the trailer with an electrically operated hydraulic jack.

The power for the hydraulics is supplied from a battery mounted on the trailer, or it can be operated directly from the battery of the towing vehicle, in the event of a flat trailer battery, using specially provided connection leads.

The Rock ’n’ Road can be erected and ready for use by one person in under 15 minutes!

The Tower
The tower has four climbing faces and coloured bolt-on hold routes can be set on each face. The climbing surface is made with the unique Entre-Prises rock effect Lightwave system. The realistic surface is finished with a high friction coating to enhance the tower’s climbing characteristics. The tower is usable by 4 climbers simultaneously, and complies with BSEN12572 for Artificial Climbing Structures.

The Trailer
The twin axle, fully galvanised frame of the trailer has been custom built specifically for the Rock ‘n’ Road. The trailer has a standard 50mm ball coupling and lighting plug. Two electrically operating outrigger legs provide lateral stability, while raising and lowering the tower.
